TAIWAN TRIP *2012*

FINALLY! FINALLY I have done uploading these pictures.
the hundred of pictures had took my days to complete.
i did really feel regret and asked myself, why am i taking so much pictures at Taiwan.
and the answer i got from myself is, pictures tell more than words. right?
so, is still worth to take my time to upload them.

if you are my loyal readers, you should know i went to Taiwan 2 years ago.
here is the link for 2 years past Taiwan trip : http://angel-lif3.blogspot.com/2009/12/1st-day-strawberry-ice-cream-pan-cake.html

8days 7nights at Taiwan.
it was seriously bored like hell, i am not lying.
due to some reason which made me cant even enjoy the trip,
yet for my blog post, for my readers,
i will still take some pictures and let you all know about it.
i ate a lots of foods, but only a few made me miss it. they are sausages and i dont know what it call, egg-cake? sponge cake?.. whatever.

i thought i will grow fatter after this trip due to culinary temptations,
i was wrong, my boy told me i got thinner.
i was happy as i heard that.
the reason i will get thinner is, i walked more than i ate.
the first and second days i did really ate a lot,
but i start getting bored of their foods and i walked a lot at those streets, rushing here and there.

i had shift a lot of hotels at there, due to we had to travel different places.
and forgive me for not telling you all the name of the hotel, due to i couldn't recall them back.
sorry. :)
the first thing i would do as i reach the hotel was,
to check the WIFI was it available.?!
the thing i confirm will DO to every hotel.

at this trip, i realized, once a people not in mood,
no matter how nice is the place, it will still suck.

12 DEC 12

that day was my first day flying to Taiwan by AirAsia plane.
i was in ordinary mood.
my flight was at 6 in the eve, at LCCT airport.

these were the pictures that i took with the puppies.
it look like a little Polar bear, wasn't?
these were the last pictures that i took with them.
my mom gave them to other people.

i was in the van, on my way to LCCT airport.

this was my lunch before boarding.
alright, lets guess, how much was this plate of chicken rice?
it taste suck. it cost 10bucks.
for only this normal chicken rice and it taste suck.
an advice here, never have ur meal at LCCT airport.
except for the fast food.

waiting for the flight.

it was freaking bored at the plane,
we had to take 5 hours flight only can reach Taiwan.
the smart of me of course will bring something to entertain myself. :)
movie time!!
ou, BTW, the 10bucks at there was to buy some drinks and foods in the flight. :)

yea, you are right,
i will never forget to take pictures in the flight. :D

it was 12 a.m,
we had finally reach Taiwan, TaoYuan airport.
my ass was really became flat and my legs were numb.

after we collect our luggage,
we took van to our hotel at TaiChung,
the way we went to hotel from airport took 2 hours.
ass became flatter.

the first thing i did as i reach the hotel was,
check whether the WIFI was available or not.
thank God serious, WIFI was available.

every time i shift hotel, the first thing i will do was check the WIFI,
the thing i will DO !

the notice by the hotel.

guess what?
this was our first meal as we reach Taiwan,
we walked to a convenience store to have our dinner as we done our check in.
due to we reached our hotel around 2a.m.,
all the food stalls, restaurants and shop had already closed.
at that time, we all were starving like crazy.

it was another day i spent in Taiwan.
woke up at 8 morning, after our washing, we out to have our breakfast at the restaurant
which just nearby our hotel.

these were our breakfast, soup buns, YangChun mee and dumplings.

after our breakfast, we walked around the shops, which were just nearby our hotel.
we saw a bakery shop then,
those cakes that placed in glass cabinets, really attractive.
they attracted my sight and made me kept on looking them.

a place we took a rest and going to Alishan

for more details about Alishan = 阿里山
https://www.google.com.my/search?q=%E9%98%BF%E9%87%8C%E5%B1%B1&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

on our way to Alishan

we only reached half way of the Alishan and the journey took us an hour time during the hiking.
our lunch time again at the old street of  Fenchihu Old Street.

History of Fenchihu Old Street

Fenchihu is believed to have a 160-year long history which can be traced back as early as over 100 years before the opening of the Alishan Forest Railways in 1912. Fenchihu has been documented that it was found by a man named Lin Zi during his hunt in the mountain area of Yasiyungu Tsou tribe. Lin Zi believed Fenchihu is the perfect home that has an ideal landscape surrounded by mountains on three sides and a low-lying hollowed out area on one side. His families and relatives were the first people to live in Fenchihu. Fenchihu has a few names, including “Bengi”- a traditional Taiwanese basket used for carrying dirt, leaves and trash, and “Bengi Lake” or “Bengihu” for being surrounded by sea of clouds and sitting in a natural basin where mist can easily be trapped looking like a lake. It is a fabulous little town enriched by abundant natural resources and fascinating scenic spots just like Chitou, another beautiful Taiwan tourist destination in central Taiwan.

Fenchihu Old Street.

we had our lunch at this restaurant.

as i reached this restaurant, there was freaking much people queuing up to order the lunch box.
the first impression of mine to it was an awesome meal.
but once i tried, the worst meal in Taiwan.
maybe it was not suit my taste. :)

they named it as 'railway lunch box' or 'Fenchihu Lunchbox'

Fenchihu lunchbox is the most famous refreshment of the place with a long history of 60 years. The most glorious period of Fenchihu was when train stopped-by Fenchihu 7 to 8 times a day. In the past when trains departed from Chiayi Beimen Railway Station at 08:00 in the morning and arrived in Fenchihu at 11:30, the old steam trains required half an hour to refuel. During this period, lumberjacks and workers would take a rest and have their lunch. At that time, only light meals such as noodles, dumplings and cakes were sold in Fenchihu but these weren’t enough for ones who do hard labors, so most of the workers would buy lunchbox in Chiayi before they get on the train. Lunchboxes were often left cold and rotten by the time they reach Fenchihu due to the long ride and humid weather. Mother of Lin, Jin-Kun (founder of Fenchihu lunchbox) saw the issue and began to sell freshly made lunchbox complete with pork chop and local bamboo shoots making it the first Fenchihu lunchbox shop. Later, lumberjacks and tourists would no longer buy lunchbox from Chiayi but to have freshly made lunchbox during the short break at Fenchihu, making Fenchihu lunchbox widely known.
Another big time of Fenchihu lunchbox was when Uni-President Corp. came across to Lin, Jin-Kun (the second-generation of Fenchihu lunchbox founder). Co-worked together in 2002, authentic Fenchihu lunchboxes were sold in all 7-Eleven branches over Taiwan that one could try the real traditional taste of Fenchihu lunchbox easily and imagine on a wonderful trip to Alishan. This project with Uni-President Corp. was a success. Fenchihu lunchbox not only successfully showcased the colorful cultures of the Alishan Forest Railways but also promoted Fenchihu tourism yet making him a legendary man of Fenchihu.

these are iron eggs.
they are eggs which have been stewed in a mix of herbs and spices until pickled in dark brown color. It is similar with the century egg but is harder. The taste with a slight herbs with it. The eggs can be found in mini size and a big one. The egg is indeed very round like a ping pong ball. You may find them at anywhere round the town.

we reached Alishan in eve.
the coldest place that i went to Taiwan.

eve view at Alishan.

i found a big fat dog in a tea shop.

can you all see something in this picture?
